Best Products for Acne Prone and Oily Skin

This is the first of my series on which products are best for what skin types. This entry is specifically geared towards those with acne, breakouts, blackheads, whiteheads, and trouble with oily skin. I will be doing entries for those of you with dry skin as well.

There are two main concerns with acne-prone skin. The first, active blemishes and killing the bacteria within your skin that is causing painful breakouts. The second, helping to speed the healing process and softening old blockages. My Acne Skin Care System is just the place to start, and IDEAL for most skin types.

The Cleansing Oil in this set is going to be your new best friend. Unlike many cleansers on the market, it will feel awesome on your skin and won't irritate, burn, or sting. The gentle oils help break down dirt, grime, and solid blockages in your pores. When you use a warm cloth to remove the oil, all the gook is removed along with it.

It is very important to note, that the oil on your face after you cleanse should be removed. This oil is dirty, and leaving excess on your skin will only re-clog your pores. It is also important to use a clean cloth or a soapless cleanser to remove the oil from your face.

Another really great trick for detoxing your skin, is to use the mask while your skin is still slightly oily. The mask included in the kit is great for oily skin types especially. You can use it as often as 3-4 times a week, preferably in the evening. This will help detox and clear your pores.

I recommend using the Oil Cleanser in the evening, followed by the mask on nights you use it.

I also recommend always following with some kind of toner, like the Witch Hazel included in the set. This helps close your pores, as well as remove any excess dirty oil.

For oily skin, it is very important to moisturize. You need to signal to your skin that it does not need to produce excess oil.

After cleansing and toning, you will use the Acne Serum. This serum is to be applied all over the face. I use about six drops, distribute between my palms, and then pat into entire face. Some days I apply two layers. Despite being oil-based, the serum will quickly soak in. You should then follow with the Cold Cream. Massage a small amount into face an neck once the acne serum is absorbed. if you are in a hurry, you can mix the two in your hand and apply together.

After one month of using the kit AM and PM, and not using any foaming ANYTHING on your face, you should see a marked difference in your skin. If not, we may need to try some other items.

I am currently formulating a moisturizer with oil-control abilities, and should have it ready within the month.

Be sure to drink lots of water, to help your body  detox.

If you have to choose just two products, get the Acne Serum and Cleansing Oil.
